AFFCAD UK
AFFCAD UK is a grassroots, volunteer-run charity that works alongside AFFCAD to deliver high-quality and accessible education, vocational training and health services to the poorest young people in Kampala, Uganda.
In the UK, they create long-term partnerships with schools, businesses, individuals and community organisations to raise money and awareness for AFFCAD’s cause, as well as engage young people in social change activities.
AFFCAD Business and Vocational Institute
Established by AFFCAD in 2013, AFFCAD Business and Vocational Institute (ABVI) aims to become the leading centre of high-quality, hands-on vocational skills training in Uganda.
ABVI empowers youths in Bwaise, Kampala, to through employment and entrepreneurship skills training as well as financial literacy programs to help them attain sustainable incomes. It has so far trained and graduated over 1,730 youths.
AFFCAD School
Built by AFFCAD in 2011, AFFCAD School is a community-based nursery and primary school that aims to eradicate illiteracy for 3 to 12 year olds within the impoverished community of Bwaise, Kampala.
The school emphasises the development of well-rounded children through holistic curriculums and experiential learning. It has so far provided high-quality education to over 400 orphans and children who are disabled or infected with HIV.
